| Large equipment is not a problem for GTD. This bearing prep line is approximately 35 feet long. It takes reel- fed stock and feeds it through the equipment. Several sizing operations are performed on the strip as well as edge shaping. The strip is then passed into a forming press where the final product is produced. GTD built all the components, constructed the electrical cabinets, and integrated everything together. The 4 drives in this equipment are "cascaded" in speed so that tension is maintained in the strip. A welder is included to splice new reels of material for near continuous operation.
