| Semi-automatic equipment is also a possibility with GTD. This machine bowl-feeds a plastic holder into an in-line walking beam mechanism. As these parts are indexed down the line an operator manually loads another metal part into each one. The two parts are pressed together automatically, inspected by a vision system, and good parts are loaded into shipping tubes, 50 to a tube. Filled tubes are automatically shuttled out to an accumulation table where the operator "caps" the tubes and boxes them. |
