Bowl-Fed Automated Assembly Machine
This automated assembly machine assembles the 5 parts shown here.
The parts are bowl fed into the machine with 55 finished parts being produced per minute. The machine utilizes a rotary indexing table with pneumatically operated tooling at each station. The machine functions are controlled by a PLC. The assembly process is monitored at each station to verify the assembly is good and assemblies or partial assemblies are sorted as good or rejected. Good parts are counted and deposited into bags of 500 each.
A second generation machine was also produced to assemble the parts shown to the left. The equipment was similar but retooled and improved to handle the smaller parts.
